Q. What are your business hours and days of operation?
A. Electric Supply is open from 7am to 5pm Monday through Friday and  The Lighting Gallery is open from 7:30am to 5pm Monday to Friday. We are closed on New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, July 4, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and day after, and Christmas Day. Emergency service for Electric Supply  is also available on weekends. 

Q. Do you accept credit cards?
A. Yes. We accept Mastercard, Visa, American Express, and Discover, cash and checks. We also offer open credit on review of a credit application.

Q.  Do you ship merchandise?
A. Yes, shipping is available if the package meets certain limitations on size & weight.

Q. Do you deliver merchandise?
A. Free delivery on larger orders is available in the Knoxville market area.

Q.  How do prices at  Electric Supply  and The Lighting Gallery compare to the “big box chain” stores? 
A. Many comparative price shoppers tell us that our prices are competitive if not better than these stores. Our selection is broader and higher quality and our experienced, professional staff provides individualized and more knowledgeable service.

Q. Where are you located and how do I get to your store with all of the road construction downtown?
A. Please check the map section of our website for directions and a map and call us for additional directions.

Q. If I call your company will I be able to talk to a “live” person instead of an automated answering system?
A. Unlike so many companies these days a real ,“live” person in Knoxville, TN will answer your call during business hours. We do have voice mail for after business hours and also e-mail.

Q. What makes The Lighting Gallery different from the other lighting stores in Knoxville?
A. We have high quality merchandise and our very knowledgeable staff (average 30 years plus service with our company). We deliver our orders complete.

Q. Is lighting that important?
A. Lighting can make a big difference in the appearance, value, and safety of your home. Appropriate lighting highlights the decorating e.g. paint, wallpaper, carpeting, and artwork, etc. Why  bother spending money on decorating unless you plan to light it properly. The money spent on lighting adds value many times over. Correct lighting sets the mood and creates atmosphere. Proper lighting allows for safety and security. Lighting makes an important statement about your home.

Q. If lighting is so important, why is it almost the last thing that goes in my home?
A. A good builder will have you select your lighting early on so that you may plan for using recess lighting and provide wiring for switching and location for hanging fixtures and wall brackets.

Q. What is a lighting “allowance“?
A. Builders allocate a certain percentage of the your home’s price for lighting fixtures. We try to help you stay within that allowance.

Q. Do you sell gift certificates?
A. Yes. We have gift certificates available for any amount.

Q. Does The Lighting Gallery sell other merchandise besides lighting fixtures?
A. Yes, we carry paddle fans, mirrors, table and floor lamps, decorative pictures, medallions, Alladin lifts and other home products by Nutone such as intercom & vacuum systems. Included in our lighting display is track lighting, flexible track, pendants and step lighting.

Q. Do you install lighting fixtures?
A. No, however we can provide names of licensed electricians who are qualified to do the installation.

Q. What services do you provide?
A. Our well trained knowledgeable staff will help you with planning the lighting for your whole home. We also do minor repairs on lamps and carry sockets and lamp cord in four different colors.

Q. What are the latest finishes and colors of lighting fixtures?
A. Nickel ,bronze, and cobblestone, and other variations of these are currently the most popular.

Q. How many lighting fixtures do you have on display?
A. We have over 2,000 fixtures on display in our new showroom, including larger fixtures. We offer a wide selection of different finishes and sizes with matching mirrors and wall brackets. We can order bath fixtures that match the finish on Delta Faucets.

Q. If I can’t find anything in stock, do you special order from catalogs?
A. Yes , we have numerous catalogs, some of which are free to take with you. We do require a deposit with special orders.

Q. Why do my light bulbs “blow out” so frequently?
A. Check the voltage on the bulbs that you buy.  We sell 130volt , which last longer. Most bulbs purchased from grocery stores, etc. are 120volt.
